One thing is for sure: whether you're still in your 20s or now in your 30s, it's never too late. Regretting things you haven't done won't get you anywhere. If you want to have fun, work hard and play hard. As you get older, you won't have the same energy you had when you were younger. I learned that the hard way. Instead of accumulating regrets, let your experiences serve as valuable life lessons. Even having fun is part of the learning curve. 🙂

I feel like I invested a lot of diligent energy trying to make something of myself in my 20s, I graduated college, started a real estate career, saved up enough to put a down payment on a home, then covid hit, and my health took a terrible turn. Im bankrupt, chronically in pain, unemployed, and all the lil jobs I've managed to acquire since shut down do not care about my degree. I feel like covid killed all momentum I had, and I wished I spent my 20s having more fun and traveling if it was just going to end up like this. I guess it really depends on the person lol.

This is so weird, that I ended up watching this video. Its taking me 6 years to get a bachelor in, you guessed it, mathematics. I very often avoided people who I felt were better than I am because I used to rather have the fantasy of being special instead of being confronted with the reality that im most likely not. I guess that I suffer from a sort of special snowflake syndrome and its painful to realize it past my thirties and having to deal with it daily. Early childhood really shapes us a lot, and I wish I knew it much earlier than now. Better late than never, i guess. Thanks for your content.

I was always scared to be out of this world. I don’t want to put the blame on my parent; my sister grew up very differently and doesn’t have the same issues now and we had the same education. It’s just that unfortunately I guess I was born with a more fragile sense of self, as a child a was daydreaming way to often and wasn’t really sharing with my parents what I really did do; all they could see was that I was getting good grades and doing great: so they had confidence in me, they let me chose the studies I wanted, never forced me to do anything. But in reality I was too scared to make any choices; that’s horrible to say but I was like I can go on and as long as I get good grades, I can continue my compulsive daydreaming, playing video games, sleep late at night, not be very reliable because this is not what matters right? I took a degree at the uni that I thought I liked but deep within me it was mostly to procrastinate my entry into working life, which was too scary for me. I forget many things easily (but normal with poor sleep hygiene and no true effort to keep an agenda or anything) My sister was also always very kind for me and I thought, since my parents and my sister were so good people; I was too. Like it’s magic, nothing can happen to me. Now at my job I realised what it means to do a real effort, I am only able to be a parrot and repeat what I hear and not have my own voice. I don’t have any idea what my own voice, needs are. Just like the video showed; at the moment my needs is that someone saves me, takes care of me because I am incompetent to do it myself. I feel ashamed because I had lovely parents, a kind hearted sister and instead of using the resources I dived into a vicious circle of intense studying without being really interested just to be able to maintain this security frame. And since I need I needed to catch up, I am only making bad decision because I didn’t learn how to pause and reflect; all I do is based on what impulsivity. I feel like a grown up child, I see the difference between my friends and me and I am isolating myself more and more. If I have to look at myself in the mirror; I almost forget what I look like or how bad my features have become. Still though, I started to try to get to push myself, and acknowledging it will take loads of time. I cannot become reliable automatically, not mess up when having to remember or to voice what I think ; often I want to think what would cause me the less debate possible. My personality is flat and empty. The only safe line in my life was my studies because of this purpose of security; not building a future. I learned that it’s not giving me anything granted just because I have a degree and I consumed all my inner fire to hold to that. Feel my brain is dead, I just hope I can still live a decent life, work and make small steps and learn, even though I start later on (I am 27) Sorry for this ranting; it’s also because if anyone is starting to feel the same or is younger, you may have read it so many times but it’s never the right time to start something to head towards a better hygiene of life. Even a tiny thing; changing what you eat for breakfast, take a small walk in the evening, shower before going to bed systematically; doesn’t mean anything like this but it helps to build up at least some basic confidence for when you need to rely on someone, you have yourself and you know you try to make some effort

5:30 Literally has nothing to do with age, but with poor life choices. If you don't stress the everliving 💩 out of your rear, DON'T waste your lifetime on meaningless BS like money, career and the praise of people who you hardly even know, let alone care about; in a nutshell; LIVE FUCKING HEALTHY you should NOT get sick with "age". (30 is not old and the loss of energy most likely stems from a crappy lifestyle without exercise, fulfillment and proper diet. ...Combined with wage-slavery.) Humans are not meant to work the hamster wheel. We are not meant to rise before the sun, each and every day until we die or wish for it to finally relieve us from the hellish bluepill limbo, that you are trying to sell here. To only way to REALLY escape, is to be FILTHY RICH, play on your on terms or; Don't play at all. The richest time of my life has been in NEET-Dom. I get to wake up and when and to do whatever the fuck i want. That alone makes me richer than most people who work their butt off for peanuts. Hate to break it to you, but you're full of shit, dude. I love Nietzsche and I think he's a genius but not all shoulds come from society (I'm not) Say I'm a dad. I love being a dad and I volunteered for this role because I truly wanted to. I've heard about the joy that comes with being a father and raising children and I truly wanted this. Now. Say I want to binge this new show I've gotten hooked on - my "pure mind" tells me this - but I should take breaks to feed my children - my "conditioned mind" tells me this. Is this such a bad thing? Did it come from societal expectations? No, it came because I have a responsibility to my children that comes with the privilege to be their father

'Logic: The science that investigates the principles governing correct or reliable inference.' -Webster's Unabridged Encyclopedic Dictionary 'infer ... v. ,1. To derive by reasoning; conclude or judge from premises or evidence ...' -Webster's Unabridged Encyclopedic Dictionary "For logic is the science of those principles, laws, and methods which the mind of man in its thinking must follow for the accurate and secure attainment of truth." -Celestine N. Bittle, "The Science of Correct Thinking: Logic" "We suppose ourselves to posses unqualified scientific knowledge of a thing, as opposed to knowing it in the accidental way in which the sophist knows, when we think that we know the cause on which the fact depends, as the cause of that fact and of no other, and further, that the fact could not be other than it is". -Aristotle, Posterior Analytics "We ought in fairness to fight our case with no help beyond the bare facts: nothing, therefore, should matter except the proof of those facts." -Aristotle, Rhetoric "Without the presentation of solid evidence no argument can be a good one" -Patrick Hurley, A Concise Introduction to Logic, 1985 'Fallacious reasoning is just the opposite of what can be called cogent reasoning. We reason cogently when we reason (1) validly; (2) from premises well supported by evidence; and (3) using all relevant evidence we know of. The purpose of avoiding fallacious reasoning is, of course, to increase our chances of reasoning cogently.' -Howard Kahane, Logic and Contemporary Rhetoric, 1976, second edition "And if we have a right to know any Truth whatsoever, we have a right to think freely, or (according to my Definition) to use our Understandings, in endeavouring to find out the Meaning of any Proposition whatsoever, in considering the nature of the Evidence for or against it, and In judging of it according to the seeming Force or weakness of the evidence: because there is no other way to discover the Truth." -Anthony Collins, 'A Discourse of Free Thinking', 1713, taken from the first page of 'Thinking to Some Purpose ' by L. Susan Stebbing, 1939 "Aristotle divides all conclusions into logical and dialectical, in the manner described, and then into eristical. (3) Eristic is the method by which the form of the conclusion is correct, but the premises, the material from which it is drawn, are not true, but only appear to be true. Finally (4) sophistic is the method in which the form of the conclusion is false, although it seems correct. These three last properly belong to the art of Controversial Dialectic, as they have no objective truth in view, but only the appearance of it, and pay no regard to truth itself; that is to say, they aim at victory.' -Arthur Schopenhauer, The Art of Controversy 'The fallacy of suppressed evidence is committed when an arguer ignores evidence that would tend to undermine the premises of an otherwise good argument, causing it to be unsound or uncogent. Suppressed evidence is a fallacy of presumption and is closely related to begging the question. As such, it's occurrence does not affect the relationship between premises and conclusion but rather the alleged truth of premises. The fallacy consists in passing off what are at best half-truths as if they were whole truths, thus making what is actually a defective argument appear to be good. The fallacy is especially common among arguers who have a vested interest in the situation to which the argument pertains.' -Patrick Hurley, A Concise Introduction to Logic, 1985 "A high degree of probability is often called 'practical certainty.' A reasonable man should not refrain upon acting upon a practical certainty as though it were known to be true. In England, for instance, it is customary for a judge, at the trial of a person accused of murder, to instruct the jury that an adverse verdict need not be based upon the belief that the guilt of the prisoner has been ' proved ', but upon the belief that the guilt has been established ' beyond a reasonable doubt .' To be ' beyond reasonable doubt ' is to have sufficient evidence to make the proposition in question so much more likely to be true than to be false that we should be prepared to act upon the supposition of its truth. Many of our most important actions have to be performed in accordance with belief of such a kind.' -L. Susan Stebbing, 'Logic in Practice', (1934) pages 98 and 99 [show less]

When you're lonely, things are different. It's seems to make it easier when thinking about relationships and friendship, because no one is with you anymore. You feel like an outsider, you've lost even hope in finding even someone to talk to, to share your ideas with, your feelings. The only thing I won't regret when I'll be old enough to feel what regret really means, is that I've spent the majority of my time crying. And crying was the only thing that helped me to feel I'm alive, I cry because I'm sad and because nothing brings me joy anymore. If anything brings me a bit of feeling that I'm alive, it is reading, nothing else. I do not feel I want to live anymore. But I'm thankful books exist, because without books I won't be here.
